Restorations at Masterblaster follow the same guidelines as all of our other work , quality first. We can do a complete frame off restoration to customer specs or a partial restoration, your choice. Below is a 1968 Corvette that went thru a complete frame off restoration by Masterblaster. We were commisioned to build this Corvette back to original looking but modern running condition. We first started by removing the body and media blasting inside and out. Performed all glass and body work and painted it a beautiful torch red.
Next we ordered a tube chassis from SRIII Motorsports in Chicago. It came complete with C5 Corvette front suspension and a C4 Dana rear with all suspension and disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. Of course there was a lot of fitting and fabrication to make it all work, then it was all powder coated silver. Next came the original 327 that was rebuilt and beefed up with aluminun heads, a big cam, headers and a EFI from Edlebrock that brought the Corvette to life with around 600 HP. A Dewitt dual fan aluminum radiator keeps the beast cool. A Tremec 5 speed was mated to put the power to the ground and help with gas milage. A new set of 18" C5 chrome rims wraped in BF Goodrich G-Force radials keep the car on the road. The interior was mostly left stock except for the custom steering wheel.
